Meet a Member Amy Landis
Project Executive, DPR Construction

Amy LandisAmy Landis is a Project Executive at DPR Construction, a global self-performing general contractor and construction manager. Based in the Charlotte-Greenville Business Unit, Amy works with project teams across Charlotte, providing leadership and support for projects focused in the Advanced Technology (AT) core market. She is also the local AT Core Market leader and serves on DPR’s National AT Core Market team.

Before joining DPR, Amy worked for Wells Fargo (originally First Union, then Wachovia) for 20 years where she held roles as a project manager, relationship manager supporting the technology division, and the Critical Facilities Project Management Office leader. Her years of mission critical experience help her drive strategy, customer relations, and project success across her Business Unit and National teams.

Background

Amy grew up in South Carolina and, though her father and uncle were licensed engineers, and her brother was pursuing an engineering degree, she decided she wanted to pursue her own path. Amy attended Winthrop University where she obtained a BFA in interior design. After graduation, Amy accepted her first job at a hospital in Columbia, SC, where she was responsible for the design and management of various projects in the facility. It was in this role that Amy fell in love with project management and the challenges and complexities of working in a 7×24 facility.

Fast forward a few years, Amy moved to Charlotte, NC. After working for both an Architect and a GC, she accepted a role at First Union which had been a client of hers as a project manager. She later accepted the role as the Corporate Properties Group (CPG) Relationship Manager for the technology group which exposed her to more of the data center/critical facilities world and involvement with 7×24 Exchange and Mission Critical Industry.

Involvement with 7×24 Exchange and Mission Critical Industry

Amy became an active member of the 7×24 Exchange Carolinas Chapter in 2010 and has expanded her involvement continuously since then, now serving on the board of directors for the chapter. In 2015, Amy was part of the group that helped create WiMCO®. She has also served on committees (WiMCO® and Programs) throughout her time with the organization.
