International Data Center Day 2022 Recap
March 23, 2022 marked the celebration of the 4th International Data Center Day. Launched in the fall of 2019, the celebration is designed to create awareness of the data center industry and to inspire the next generation of talent.
This year, organizations from all over the globe showed their support of the initiative in a variety of ways. Data Centers gave tours, 7x24 Exchange Chapters held celebrations, sponsors showed their support, and individuals showed the Power of One. 7x24 Exchange would like to thank the data center community for not only adopting the initiative but enthusiastically raising the bar year after year.

WiMCO® Alignment Meeting Recap
On May 4, the third WiMCO Alignment Meeting, or WAM, took place virtually. Participants were treated to information sharing and virtual networking during the 1-hour event. The presentation, titled Strategies to Foster Engagement within WiMCO® Communities, was moderated by Dr. Rochelle Price, VP of Shared Services, Miller Electric Company, and Mary Glynn, Executive Vice President Business Development, TLM Group. During the session, Wendy Stewart, Vice President of Sales Operations, Databank and Lana Veytia, District Manager NSS Kansas City, Wesco | Anixter, shared ideas to ensure successful launches and continuation of the WiMCO programs within 7x24 Exchange Chapters. In addition, attendees were split into breakout rooms where they explored some of the ideas shared in the main session.

Metro New York Chapter Annual University Challenge
The Metro New York Chapter of 7x24 Exchange held their Annual University Challenge on Thursday, April 28th. This year was once again a virtual meeting which included four local schools presenting various topics related to technology and data centers. Schools included Hofstra University, Manhattan College, New York Institute of Technology, and Rutgers University. Through the support of our Annual Sponsors as well as the proceeds from our Annual Golf outing, we will provide the schools with funding for their engineering programs, scholarships, and to start up their own Student Chapter of the 7x24 Exchange. Each school will once again receive $5,000 and each student will receive $250 for participating. Stay tuned as we are also planning our first Career Fair!
