Background and Experience
Larisa earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree as well as an MBA with an emphasis in management.
Prior to her current role at Johnson Controls, Larisa worked within the banking industry and as a project manager at a real-estate development company. She joined Johnson Controls in 2014 where she worked in several positions, including Systems Application Engineer and Commercial HVAC Systems Specialist. She credits her earlier experience at the company for enabling her deep understanding of the entire equipment cycle, from sales to operations, to service. This experience also gave her an intimate understanding of the industry and helps her thrive in her current marketing role.
Larisa was first exposed to the mission critical industry in her current position. She knew that the data center category was booming with tremendous potential that Johnson Controls was positioned to lead. As a self-starter, she was intrigued by the idea of taking on such an exciting challenge and was eager to spearhead marketing for the growing division.
Involvement in 7×24 Exchange
Fueled by her passion for networking with people and building connections, Larisa quickly jumped at an opportunity in December of 2023 to become a member of the 7×24 Exchange International Women in Mission Critical Operations (WiMCO) National Committee. On the committee, Larisa helps plan events for WiMCO, including the national events in Fall and Spring, as well as monthly and quarterly events. Getting involved with 7×24 Exchange instantly gave Larisa valuable insight into data center customers and an opportunity to understand and to influence how WiMCO presents important ideas to the close-knit mission critical community.
Larisa is also an active member of the local 7×24 Exchange Atlanta Chapter, as well as the local Technical Association of Georgia (TAG) infrastructure group, where she participates in networking events.
