Zach McDonald is the Medium Voltage Sales Manager at Maddox Industrial Transformer. Before joining Maddox, Zach served ten years in the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. After leaving the Navy in 2020, Zach joined Maddox as a Sales Representative and then the Medium Voltage Sales Manager overseeing over seventeen Sales Representatives.
Maddox serves the mission critical and data center space with the industry’s fastest lead times on transformers and an easy buying experience. Fast lead times are crucial to getting data centers and other mission critical applications online with the ability to service applications should a transformer fail.
Involvement in Mission Critical and 7×24 Exchange
Zach first got involved in the mission critical space in 2022, the first 7×24 Exchange Conference Maddox attended. The conference provided Zach with an opportunity to build relationships with many other 7×24 members who were involved in the design and procurement of datacenter equipment.
At the event, Zach identified the need that data centers had for faster transformer lead times than OEMs were able to provide.
“7×24 Exchange was huge for us to be able to interact with potential clients who are hurting for faster lead times and better customer service.”
The relationships created at 7×24 Exchange led to Maddox providing transformers for data centers across North America, including the first subsea cable landing station in South Carolina.
