C. Benjamin (Ben) Swanson has been the Managing Director of Mission Critical Facilities for United Parcel Service since 2006. His team is responsible for all aspects of data center management, hardware planning and security for their two domestic US Tier IV data centers along with providing technical leadership for 18 other sites globally. Ben has been working within UPS's engineering department for 24 years. Prior to UPS, Ben began his mission critical experience working for Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute as a submarine pilot aboard the DSRV ALVIN.
