Sam Brick is Vice President for American Express Technologies, Data Center Infrastructure. He is responsible for the oversight of its two critical data centers located in Phoenix and Minneapolis. His primary role is to ensure continuous availability of all systems supporting computer operations and network.
Sam has been with American Express for 25 years. Prior to joining Technologies in 1998, he held a number of management level positions within the Customer Service, Credit Operations and Facilities organizations. He was selected as a core member of the start up team for the New Operations center being built in Greensboro, North Carolina helping to migrate the Personal Card product from Ft. Lauderdale to Greensboro.
Sam grew up in upstate New York and attended the University of Brockport, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in business. Upon graduation he served in the United States Army, holding field and staff positions; as well as, continuing his education with post graduate work in business and real estate.
Sam lives in Phoenix, Arizona with his wife, children and grandchildren and is an active sports enthusiast who enjoys watching his children compete.
