Mr. Seger is the principal mechanical engineer for IDC Architects (IDCA) Critical Environment group, and heads up the firm�s critical environment mechanical engineering design staff. He has 25 years of experience in a variety of projects for industries specializing in critical environments for manufacturing and data processing. He has overseen data center facility designs in the U.S. and internationally, including those that utilize air-side economizers, water-side economizers, and those that operate in excess of 500 watts per square foot. Mr. Seger participated in a panel discussion on data center energy efficiency at the Data Centers Europe 2007 in London, England and has recently co-authored, with Andy Solberg, an article on the benefits of using computational fluid dynamics for evaluation of the impact of the outside environment on the design of data center facility. Mr. Seger holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University and is a registered professional engineer in the State of Oregon.
