As Senior Solutions Architect for the Data Center of the Future Domain Practice of Intel� Solution Services, Gary Howard leads client engagement teams in gathering and interpreting customer business needs, existing business capabilities, and current technology solutions. Collaborating with other members of the delivery team, Gary defines, analyzes, architects, and delivers architecture-led technology solutions that provide clients with clear and quantifiable value. He is responsible for articulating the value proposition associated with proposed technology solutions, including the costs and risks of implementation, timeline to deployment, and value levers impacted. Gary focuses on target account coverage, both driving customer satisfaction and striving to develop deep technology-led relationships with key leaders such as Chief Information Officers (CIOs), Chief Technology Officers (CTOs), Vice Presidents of IT, and other key technology directors.
Gary supports delivery of services, both directly and indirectly (through mentoring) to facilitate the ramp of new offerings on targeted projects, leading technology analysis, design, and implementation efforts including detailed requirement specifications, architecture development, solution development, and vendor management.
Gary has more than 15 years of experience in cross-industry technical consulting. At Intel, he has participated in many projects including data center design, data center power/thermal assessments, data center capacity planning, data center consolidation, server consolidation, virtualization, performance optimization, scaling, sizing guides, porting, scripting, directory services, and enterprise database modeling.
Gary holds a BS degree in Computer Studies from the University of Maryland, a BS degree in Industrial Engineering from Southern Illinois University, and a MA degree in Computer Resources and Information Management from Webster University.
